Match the date and vessel on the operator’s live information. Bad weather in a forecast does not by itself establish a cancellation. Check whether your service is operating, delayed, suspended or shortened. Korea Express Ferry directs passengers to its website or 1577-2891 status line.
The return sailing can change even if the outward sailing runs. For a day trip, check both. If your registered contact cannot receive notices reliably, look up the status yourself.
02Use the right cancellation process
A decision to abandon the trip yourself is handled under your booking’s voluntary cancellation conditions. If the operator confirms cancellation, ask how the affected sector and any return ticket will be processed. Korea Express Ferry’s posted terms provide a full refund when weather or another cause outside the carrier’s control prevents departure. This does not automatically refund hotels or ground transport.

03Check cancellation and payment separately
Confirm the reservation status, keep the cancellation receipt and check the reversal with your payment provider. Korea Express Ferry says a separate card-cancellation text may not be sent, so a missing message is not decisive. Processing time can differ by payment method.
If you cancel one part of a return booking, check whether the other part remains active. Before paying for an alternative, verify the original reservation and any vehicle arrangements. Keep references privately rather than publishing screenshots containing personal information.
