01Choose the port for the whole journey

Compare Incheon Coastal Ferry Terminal with Bangameori Port on Daebudo. Check Korea Express Ferry’s Ijak route and Daebu Shipping’s Incheon schedule for Incheon services; use Daebu Shipping’s Daebudo schedule for Bangameori. Select your actual travel date before building an itinerary.

Include the journey to the port, parking if needed, and transport home after your return. A shorter crossing is not automatically a shorter door-to-door trip. If leaving Seoul early, work backwards from the operator’s check-in requirement to see whether public transport gets you there.

02Book Daeijakdo, not just “Ijak”

Look for 대이작도 or 대이작. The route heading “Ijak” does not remove the distinction between Daeijakdo and Soijakdo. Compare the destination with your accommodation’s Korean address and check both legs before paying.

Intermediate stops and their order can vary. Save the vessel name, travel date, ports and return departure together. A passenger reservation does not by itself confirm space for a car; ask about the specific sailing if you intend to bring one.

03Connect the pier with your plans on the island

Bua Mountain, the Puldeung sandbank and the Keun-Puran and Jageun-Puran beaches are different destinations. Mark your accommodation and priorities on a map before deciding whether to walk or arrange a transfer. Ask your accommodation whether pickup is available and whether it also covers the return trip to the pier.

Puldeung appears with the tide. Do not treat a regular ferry ticket as a reservation for a sandbank excursion. If that visit is your main reason for travelling, confirm local arrangements and tidal timing first, then fit them between your ferry journeys.

04Decide whether a day trip gives you enough time

Calculate usable time from island arrival to the required return boarding time. Choose a small number of priorities instead of assuming you can combine a hike, several beaches and a sandbank excursion. Staying overnight creates more time but does not guarantee the next day’s sailing.

Use the official buttons for the timetable and then check operating notices before travelling. This guide is for planning; fares, seats and same-day operation must be confirmed with the operator. Korean booking labels are retained here so you can compare them with the reservation screen.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a Soijakdo ticket for Daeijakdo?

They are different destinations. Check that your ticket names 대이작. If you want to visit both islands, confirm a separate, usable connection rather than assuming one ticket allows island hopping.

Can I visit without a car?

Plan as a foot passenger, then separately arrange how to reach your accommodation and chosen sights. Confirm walking routes or a pickup; do not assume a transfer is included in your ferry fare.
